Thonis's brother, Cornelis Philips, was one of the witnesses.

The document begins:

In den naemens Heren Amen. Op huijden den XXll en Merty Anno XIVc ende veertien compareerde voor mij openbaer notaris ter presentie van getuigen ondergeschreven

Anthonis Phillipsz mandemaecker, weduwnaer, toecomen Breugom, ter eene

ende Angenitsgen Bastiaensdr lest wed. van Pieter Stevensz de Lanque, toecomen bruijt, ter andere zijde

ende verclaerden van meninge te zijn metter anderen te treeden ende [begeven?] in wetelicke huwelicken states onder den volgende [g....?] ende bepalingen te hebben zeecker huw. contract en huwelixe voorwarden in maneijren [...?] volgende

In the eerste is wel expresselicken deselve toecomen huwelicx etc.

In the name of the Lord, Amen. On today the 22nd March year 1600 and fourteen appeared before me, public notary, in the presence of the undersigned witnesses

Anthonis Phillipsz, basketmaker, widower, future bridegroom, on the one

and Angenitsgen Bastiaensdr, widow of Pieter Stevensz de Lanque. future bride, on the other side

and declare to be of the intention [metter] others to tread and be given in lawful matrimony under the following [g....?] and to have limitations certain marriage contract and marriage conditions in the following manner ...

In the first is well expressed the same future marriage etc.
