Made mortgage payment (sixth of eight) on the Gulden Hoofd

May 11, 1661

Leeuwenhoek went to the Weeskamer, where he paid 200 guilders to reduce the capital. He had paid 3,900 guilders total and had 1,100 guilders still to pay. It is unclear from the document how much he paid on the interest.

WKD inv. 464 fol. 179v Registers van inschrijving van wezen en halfwezen 1646-1660 (my translation)

On the 11th of May 1661 Anthonij van Leeuwenhoeck by himself brought to this room two hundred guilders of capital deducted from the above-mentioned mortgage, and the interest was paid to Grietge Jans herself.
