Leeuwenhoek's summary

What I wrote on this subject is perfectly true, and if those learned gentlemen were living in the Netherlands, I should invite them to come and see the globules in most of the parts, as I described.

Text of the letter in the original Dutch and in English translation from Alle de Brieven. The Collected Letters at the DBNL - De Digitale Bibliotheek voor de Nederlandse Letteren

Leeuwenhoek wrote this letter to Henry Oldenburg about meals, seeds, and pearl; transparency; movement of movement of fluids in plants and animals.

At the beginning of this letter, Leeuwenhoek responded to those "in Paris and elsewhere" who didn't agree with him that the microscopic world consisted of globules within globules. He restates some of the places he saw globules in animals and plants.
