father-in-law Elias de Meij (-1646), living on Oosteinde, buried in the Nieuwe Kerk.
His daughters Maria and Barbera inherited the several properties that he owned on and near the Oosteine. Nine years later, after Barbera married Leeuwenhoek, the sisters divided the property.
