An account of several observations concerning the frame and texture of the muscles

Wijer Willem Muys, a professor at the university in Franaker, wrote an article about muscle fibers in the Journal Literaire, published in Den Haag in January 1714. Philosophical Transactions editor Edmond Halley summarized the article and published his summary later in 1714 in Philosophical Transactions no. 339, directly after a letter by Leeuwenhoek that had contradictory observations.
