Leeuwenhoek wrote this letter in response to Magliabechi's Letter L-350 of late 1698 about restitution of the money that Leeuwenhoek had paid in order to receive the book presented to him by Magliabechi. Arnoldi has already been reimbursed by Leeuwenhoek, so he cannot accept double payment. He returned Leeuwenhoek's pistolet.
