Gresham College
Gresham College was home to the Royal Society from its first meeting in 1660 until 1710. From 1666 to 1673, the College's building was used to house the Exchange after the Great Fire. Society found temporary quarters in Arundel House. After the death of Hooke in 1703, Isaac Newton was able to convince Queen Anne to move the Society to Crane Court in 1710.
Most of the letters that Leeuwenhoek addressed to the Royal Society were received at Gresham College.
