The front matter includes a six-page dedication to Queen Mary.
The volume also includes a letter from Richard Waller on pp. 430-433. Alle de Brieven / Collected Letters included it and dated it February 2, 1692, though that date is not in Leeuwenhoek's volumes. He published Waller's letter, with one figure, between Letter 71 of March 7, 1692 and his reply, Letter 72 of April 22, 1692, addressed to Waller.
