The Dutch-language web, Achter de Gevels van Delft (Behind the Facades of Delft) is written by staff of the city's archives and other interested researchers. It continues to compile archival information, including illustrations, photos, drawings, and maps, about almost two hundred properties in Delft. The dozen or so listed below were at some point owned or lived in by Leeuwenhoek and members of his family.

A 1987 book by the same name was written by Thera Wijsenbeek-Olthuis. The web site began two decades later, in May 2007.

Unfortunately, the web uses frames. Direct links to the information about each of these properties breaks the frames. Thus, the links here take you to the home page, and you can select the properties from the list in the left-hand frame.

At the bottom of many of the Achter de Gevels pages are links to one or two other pages with more information about the property.
