Huygensmuseum Hofwijck

In 2013, Studio La Meul rebuilt Hofwijck as a doll's house at a scale of 1:10 for an exhiition at the Museum Boerhaave in Leiden. One of the rooms is pictured below left (click to enlarge). The drawing on the right is by Moucheron, from around 1675, when Leeuwenhoek would have been visiting.

Hofwijck was designed by Huygens to be "a harmonious piece of paradise on earth, with a garden in God’s image and likeness."
